Plateau United Is New Champion Of The Nigerian Professional Football League

Plateau United have been crowned the new champions of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) interestingly for the first time ever subsequent to beating Enugu Rangers 2-0 on Saturday evening at the Rwang Pam Stadium in Jos.




The Kennedy Boboye led side led on the league table for a long stretch of the season with MFM FC nearly trailing with a point up to the last day of the season. The Saturday fixture was set for a troubled finish to the league with eyes on Maiduguri 




The Peace Boys from Jos, first-time winners of the NPFL, were able to beat the incumbent champions Enugu Rangers 2-0 on Saturday with goals from Emeka Umeh and Benjamin Turba, gave them the needed vital point to claim the trophy....
