Ronaldo fire critics after an amazing night

Image
The Madrid star is tired of the constant criticism of his performances after stepping up again with a double for the Blancos. Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo hit back at his critics and is surprised he continually has to prove himself. Ronaldo scored a brace to help Madrid to a 3-1 win over Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League on Tuesday. The Portuguese star's domestic return has not gone to plan, unable to net in two La Liga games since coming back from suspension. But Ronaldo, 32, is growing tired of the constant criticism, saying he had already proven himself. "It seems that I have to keep showing exactly who I am in every match," he told Atresmedia after his 400th Madrid appearance. "I am surprised by what the public thinks of me, my numbers speak for themselves, I am an exemplary professional and I always have a clear mind. "The criticism is getting worse."

INEC serves Melaye recall notice in Senate

Image
The Independent National Electoral Commission on Tuesday served Senator Dino Melaye with the recall notice from his constituency in the Senate. INEC officials from the national headquarters of the commission stormed his office in the Senate in several bags... INEC took the decision after it claimed that all efforts to serve Melaye with the recall notice has been frustrated by the controversial senator. Melaye is the representative of Kogi West Senatorial District. Melaye had on Monday told journalists in Abuja that accepting any petition from INEC would be unconstitutional as “the window the constitution provides for the service of recall petition had elapsed.” “It is clear that by the provisions of section 69 (b) of the 1999 constitution, INEC must act on the petition purportedly presented to it on June 23, 2017, by conducting a referendum within 90 days of receipt of the petition,”  he said   “The 90 days period as provided for in the constitution for con...

Fix verification problem on your I-generation {pad, phone}.

iOS 11 is here. With all of its fancy bells and whistles it brings to the table, many Apple users are again running into the "Unable to Verify Update" error when trying to install iOS 11. Despite these free iOS updates being easy for the most part, this error is a very common issue. The "Unable to Verify Update" error is infuriating if you've come across it, with your iPhone or iPad telling you you're no longer connected to the internet, even if you are. Annoying. iCloud is a wonderful service provided by Apple, which allows users to securely store Photos, Videos, Contacts, Notes, Documents and more on iCloud. Better yet, those contents will be kept up to date with iCloud and allowed to share on different devices. Personally, I'm used to enabling auto backup service on iCloud and letting it automatically back up my files (because I'm lazy and it's all automatic). However, sometimes, users might fail to connect to iCloud or pass the ve...

Although no individual had been blamed, he added, this did not prevent the court from ordering an investigation. Kenya heading for constitutional crisis The brave judge who made Kenyan history The electoral commission (the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission) had announced that Mr Kenyatta had won 54% against opposition leader Raila Odinga's 44%. But Mr Odinga, of the National Super Alliance, went to court insisting that he had been cheated of victory.

US bans Chad, North Korea and Venezuela, Iraqi escapes removes Sudan...

Image
The United States has expanded its controversial travel ban to include people from North Korea, Venezuela and Chad. The White House said the restrictions follow a review of information sharing by foreign governments. Donald Trump issued a presidential proclamation late on Sunday. He said "Making America safe is my number one priority. We will not admit those into our country we cannot safely vet,"  The three new countries join five others from Mr Trump's original travel ban : Iran, Libya, Syria, Yemen, and Somalia. But the new proclamation removed restrictions that were placed on Sudan. It is not yet clear how the president's new proclamation, which changes several key elements, will affect that legal challenge. The criteria for the new ban list is now based on vetting procedures and co-operation, and the restrictions have now been "tailored" on a country-by-country basis. NORTH KOREA:  The White House said North Kor...

NEYMAR'S PSG WAGES MAKE HIM WORLD'S SECOND-RICHEST PLAYER

Image
The most expensive player in football history, the Brazil star falls just short of matching the astronomical wages Tevez picks up in China Neymar's salary package at Paris Saint-Germain puts him behind just Carlos Tevez as the world's highest-earning player, claims Football Leaks. The Brazilian completed a move to Parc des Princes from Barcelona in the summer, becoming in the process football's most expensive player thanks to a €222 million transfer fee. But the forward is also personally reaping the rewards of being PSG's new standard-bearer, according to the report which was released this weekend. Football Leaks affirms that Neymar earns just over €3m a month in Ligue 1, a figure that works out as a total annual salary of €36.8m. Only Tevez, currently in the Chinese Super League with Shanghai Shenhua, takes home a greater wage, with reports suggesting the Argentine will pick up €38.4m from his first year in Asia. To put the number claimed by the...
