Ranching not possible to the Fulani's - Allah Miyetti

Miyetti Allah- The Fulani in Nigeria have said they will not accept cattle ranching because the country’s geographical location was not suitable for it. It’s caused by strangers fuelled by politicians, religious leaders..... Besides, the Fulani said the species of cows they had, as subsistence livestock farmers, were not good for ranching in the country, saying they could only be confined to ranching if their livestock were replaced with breeds suitable for it. According to them, the laws are being used as campaigns by some people to win votes in 2019 elections. Death penalty is undesirable in 21th century

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres called for an end to the death penalty Tuesday, insisting it has “no place in the 21st century.” “I want to make a plea to all states that continue this barbaric practice: please stop the executions,” Guterres said at an event marking the 15th World Day Against the Death Penalty. Capital punishment “does little to serve victims or deter crime,” Guterres said, adding that most of the UN’s 193 members do not carry out executions. “Just last month, two African states – The Gambia and Madagascar – took major steps towards irreversible abolition of the death penalty,” he said. “In 2016, executions worldwide were down 37 per cent from 2015. Today just four countries are responsible for 87 per cent of all recorded executions,” he added. The Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, has signed into law the bill prohibiting secret cults, terrorism and prescribing death sentence for anyone caught in the acts. While appending his signature to the bill at the Government House in Ado-Ekiti on Monday, Fayose said the law was a confirmation of the unwavering commitment of the state government to combating terrorism in the state. ' Some men are callous, inhuman and heartless. This incident took place place at Angwan Soja, karu Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, Nigeria. At about 7:13am today. As a man and his wife which had separated 4 years ago. Went to the wife house when she was frying Akara and requested some certain amount of money from her, when the woman replied him dat she doesn't have money, the man quickly took the pot of groundnut oil that is on fire over and hour and pour the oil on the wife and he ran away.  When I asked the woman why she separated after having a baby boy for this heartless man?  She said she was fed up the the man drinking and smoking habit. This woman is currently undergoing treatment in the hospital but for security reason this post will not carry the name and address of the hospital. The police has been everywhere since morning but them have not found the man involved in such act. I wish this woman fast recovery.....

N-Power pre selection process now out.

N-Power, ​the ​Federal Government empowerment scheme, on Monday explained how applicants can check their pre-selection status. N-Power had last Thursday confirmed date to announce candidates selected for physical verification. Meanwhile, the presidency has confirmed that a total of 176,160 graduate beneficiaries had been deployed under the N-Power. This is contained in a book titled: ‘Making Steady, Sustainable Progress for Nigeria’s Peace and Prosperity: A Mid-Term Report Card on the Buhari Administration’ co-authored by the Presidential Media Team. The book stated that N-Power programme, has reached 200,000 graduate beneficiaries from all 36 states including the FCT. It noted that out of the 25,840 selected applicants left, 11,884 beneficiaries were disqualified after physical verification or had incomplete records, adding that the remaining 13,956 beneficiaries were absent from physical verification.
